Sue was born on September 27, 2006. One month later, Sue's right eye ruptured causing irreparable damage. An infection under the eyelid (prior to the eye opening) had eroded her cornea, which resulted in tissue failure.
She is completely unaware that she is different than others. Oblivious to the fact her vision is impaired, she lets nothing stand in her way. Sue runs fast, plays hard, and lives life to the fullest. She maneuvers through the forest at a breakneck speed, nimbly navigating the steep embankments like a mountain goat. Sue is incredibly agile, very athletic, and smart as a whip.
Sue is a happy girl. She is a people pup and is happiest beside one of her humans. She is extremely affectionate, very obedient and eager to please. Some may view her as a special need's dog, but to us, she is just special. We consider ourselves exceptionally fortunate to be chosen as her family.
