Litter - Husky/Chow/Lab Mixes

We fostered a litter of seven puppies on behalf of HART (Highland Animal Relief Team) in Bancroft, Ontario. They were seven weeks old. Five boys and two girls of mixed heritage (Siberian Husky x Chow Chow x Labrador Retriever). The pups were with us for four very fun filled busy weeks until they were placed in loving homes.

Beau - Newfoundland

Beau was rejected by his mother when he was four days old. Shortly after he arrived, I noticed the familiar rapid eye movement and head rocking. Beau was having seizures believed to be caused by hypoglycemia. Carefully scheduled feedings brought the seizures under control. Beau was with us for 15 days. He was reunited with his littermates and was eventually placed with a loving family.

Hubble - Newfoundland

Hubble had a stressful birth which left him noticeably weaker than his littermates. When he suckled, milk would expel through his nose, causing him to sputter and gasp. At four days of age, he was rejected by his mother, and he joined our family. He was with us for seven days while he grew stronger and gained weight. He was reunited with his littermates and was eventually placed with a loving family.

Stevie - Newfoundland

Stevie had multiple health issues. At four months of age, she endured Pano (Panosteitis) and at six months, OCD (Osteochondritis dissecans), before she was diagnosed with unilateral mild hip dysplasia. She was with us for seven wonderful months. Stevie was a perpetually happy puppy. She has since been placed with a loving family that includes a companion Newf.

Hannah - Newfoundland

Hannah underwent surgery for cherry eye - prolapsed gland of the nictitating membrane (third eyelid) - when she was six months old. She was an exceptional patient and very compliant during her extended recovery period. Hannah was a very sweet, gentle puppy. She was a joy to raise. Hannah has since been placed with a loving family.

Stella - Newfoundland

Stella was pick pup from her litter, and rightly so, from an early age she stood out among her littermates. There is something undeniably special about Stella. We were fortunate to have Stella as our guest for 19 days when she was a young pup, and again for two months as an adolescent. Stella is a gorgeous and confident girl who has a lot to offer the breed.

Hamilton - Newfoundland

Hamilton was diagnosed with pneumonia at 17 days old. He had difficulty retaining meals even when tube fed. At 22 days of age his breeder did not expect him to survive the night. Hamilton joined our family that night, weighing less than his birth weight. With a little TLC, Hamilton was reunited with his littermates two weeks later and was eventually placed with a wonderful family.
